Hi, this is my suggestion when you get to HCMC. Hope that it can be helpful for you.
1. Tan Dinh Church and Tan Dinh Market, district 1
It’s a really special church I’ve visited because it’s pink (as you can see in the picture). It’s located on Hai Ba Trung district and you just need 5.000VND to park your motorbike (if you get there by bus you don’t need money).
200 meters from the Church, you can visit Tan Dinh Market. It’s a Vietnamese tradditional market. Let’s discover it.
2. Buu Long Buddhism Pagoda, District 9
It’s far from the city center but it’s really nice with a huge tower on which you can have a fabulous view to the city.
It’s quite far and I don’t know whether you can go by bus or not, so please ask a local friend to take u there.
3. Sai Gon riverside at night, District 2
I want you to be there because U can have a good view to the most colorful part of district 1 from the opposite riverside of Sai Gon river. At night, it’s beautiful and crowded with a lot of young people chatting. You can order some beers and feel the wind from the river. It’s good.
4. Cho Lon Marketing, District 5
This may be the biggest tradditional market in HCMC. You can find everything here. It is like China Town of Vietnam with a lot of Chinese-born Vietnamese. They are good at business and cooking. You can try a lot of Chinese foods here.
5. Ho Thi Ky Flower Market, District 10
This is the biggest flower market in HCMC. But it seems not to as big and modern as what you think about a flower market. It has the style of a tradditional market. There’re also some street foods here you can try too.
